  • GRAPCEP primarily serves students in the Grand Rapids Public School District area, most of whom are from low-income families, 75.0%, and are ethnic minorities, 70.0%.

  • GRAPCEP students, at all grade levels, have higher GPA's than other students in their grade level in the Grand Rapids Public School District.

  • GRAPCEP has a 99.99% high school graduation rate.

  • 83.4% of GRAPCEP students enroll in college.

  • 54.6 % of GRAPCEP students who enroll in college are enrolled in a engineering or math or science related field of study, as compared to 20% of the general population of college students.

  • GRAPCEP supports its students throughout high school, college, and 2 years into employment--GRAPCEP has a long-term commitment to their students.

  • GRAPCEP students participate in meticulously planned GRAPCEP activities.Some of these activities include the following:

  • Summer Experience (GRAPCEP Sponsored)
    Summer Camps at Kettering University, MTU, MSU, and Grand Rapids Community College

  • Saturday Workshops
    Technical and Workplace Success Training for Company Tours
    Job Shadowing
    Internships and Co-Ops

  • Classes in Robotics & Computer Programming
    Engineering and Science Competitions

  • Advocacy for College Scholarships and Entrance

  • GRAPCEP works with 30-40 GRPS teachers on a regular basis.

  • GRAPCEP student activities are also teacher training opportunities.

  • GRAPCEP offers teachers training in technology and project-based learning.

  • GRAPCEP connects with the whole community including students, parents, teachers, and local area businesses.
